Here are some quick answers to life's pressing questions...
What is the Northern Frights Festival? We are a horror film festival, and we hope to see you at our sixth year. We aim to bring the best international and local productions to Northern Ontario..
What kind of movies do you screen? As mentioned, we aim to bring you the best horror from around the world and from your own neighbourhood. This year's fest contains short films, and they are organized into feature length blocks. We will have three or four blocks throughout the day. Each film block is different, so check the schedule when we post it in mid-August.
Where is the festival? The entire festival will be held at the Sudbury Theatre Centre in beautiful Downtown Sudbury, Ontario, Canada.
How much is it to attend? There are three shows, the Mad Matinee, the Murder Matinee, and the Evil Evening. The Matinee shows are each $10, and the Evil Evening is $15. A full day pass can be purchased for the low price of $20, and this enables you to see all the shows. If you want to skip a block for lunch, that's fine with us too. We'll see you at the next screening.
What if I don't want a full day pass? You can purchase individual tickets for each film block from Eventbrite, or at the door on festival day, if tickets remain.
Where can I but advance tickets? I don't want to miss this! You can buy advance tickets from Eventbrite, and we'll let you know when tickets go on sale.
Where do I pick up my Eventbrite tickets? We'll have your tickets at the door for you. Safe and sound.
The Evil Evening seems long. What if I can't sit for three hours? Rest assured we have a half hour intermission planned for the Evil Evening. We suggest meeting us at the onsite bar to mingle with some creatures of the night.
The Sudbury Theatre Centre has a bar? Yes, and you're welcome to bring a drink with you into the theatre after the intermission.
Should I bring all of my young children? You probably shouldn't. About 95% of the films were screening contain adult content. Best to leave the little ones at home, or in the park.
Is there parking at the Sudbury Theatre Centre where you're holding your fine festival? Yes, there is ample on site parking.
